The Art Department is all I have known since landing my first gig at the Television Food Network in New York at the age of 19 while attending The School for Film and Television. After moving to Los Angeles my time was hustling from unpaid intern up through every art department Union position. I had the great fortune to work under some of the best that the Art Directors Guild has to offer including Dan Bishop (MAD MEN/AMC), Lilly Kilvert (LUCK/HBO), Howard Cummings (HAYWIRE), and the late John Iacovelli (LINCOLN HEIGHTS/ABC). After 5 Emmy nominations and 2 wins, I am very proud of the accolades many of my projects have received but my thanks can only go to “the team, the team, the team.” My time as a production designer has not diminished my love for art direction, especially graphic design. I’ve worked with $5 and $5 million, and everything in between. I have experience on the lot, and in the swamp, and on-location diplomacy is a strength. I’ve handed a live alligator to Jeff Goldblum and I created the “Ron Swanson Pyramid of Success” for NBC’S PARKS AND RECREATION while working as the lead graphic designer for 5 seasons. We currently live in Portland, Oregon where some of my most exciting projects have been filmed including PORTLANDIA, SHRILL, AMERICAN VANDAL SEASON 2, and the HBO cultural phenomenon THE REHEARSAL.
